About This Project

The barn is set in its own acre, with large lawns that extend into wild flower areas under Alder trees and are bordered by a gentle stream.

Ideal for bird watchers and lovers of nature with numerous nest boxes, wildlife a plenty and beautiful walks all around.

The barn includes a barbecue, garden furniture, Giant Jenga & Boules and picnic bench down by the stream amongst the trees.

In keeping with its natural surroundings, Alder Barn was converted with a green, sustainable agenda using local labour and materials. The floor was milled from surrounding alder trees. The ground source heat pump runs the under floor heating, solar panels heat the water and the barn still retains its original frame and roof.
